PenLaos Signature Grilled Chicken (SGD 17 for half chicken)
- Three-day marination process involving a blend of black and white peppercorns with coriander
- For a roasted chicken, it was incredibly juicy and not dry
- A sweet spicy dip is also provided but the chicken is good enough on it\’s own
Isaan Beef Ribeye Steak with Spicy Dipping Sauce (SGD 36)
- …
Stir-Fried Soft Shell Crab in Curry Sauce (SGD 29.9)
- …
Grilled Eggplant with Spicy Minced Pork Hot Basil (SGD 17.9)
- The eggplant exterior is grilled to a drier crisp while maintaining a softer mushier center
- Paired with the salty savoury minced pork and herby basil leaves it was a rice snatcher
Clear Tom Yam with Fresh Prawns (SGD 24.9)
- Delicious tom yam soup with the right balance of spicy and sour
- Generous servings of prawns
Red Ruby in Coconut Milk (SGD 8.5)
- Creamy chilled coconut milk with a nice dose of syrup
- Unfortunately they ran out of jackfruit so the serving I had was missing the key ingredient
- While the red ruby had a good crunch from the water chestnuts, it would be better with a more distinctive chewy outer layer
Thai Milk Tea Pudding (SGD 6.8)
- Smooth creamy pudding full of milk tea flavor
- Great end to the meal
